As North Americans, it can sometimes be hard to imagine the landscape our Guatemalan neighbors used to call home. Join us on an Guatemalan immigration awareness trip, March 8 hrough 17, 2014 to experience the beauty of the country first hand while learing about the realities of life there.
Lisa Kremer, OFS and Project Coordinator for Abuelos y Nietos Juntos and Luis Arguenta, Guatemalan filmaker and director of The Silence of Neto, abUSed - The Postville Raid, and Abuelos y Nietos Juntos: Two Generations Together, will orgaize the trip, which will include visits to Antiguq, Lake Atitlan, and the region of San Marcos. Participants will meet some of the grandparents of Abuelos y Nietos Juntos, learn about Myan culture and the efforts of reverse immigration.
