Note the Date Change
As North Americans, it can sometimes be hard to imagine the landscape our Guatemalan neighbors used to call home. Join us on an Guatemalan immigration awareness trip, March 8 hrough 17, 2014 to experience the beauty of the country first hand while learing about the realities of life there.
Lisa Kremer, OFS and Project Coordinator for Abuelos y Nietos Juntos and Luis Arguenta, Guatemalan filmaker and director of The Silence of Neto, abUSed - The Postville Raid, and Abuelos y Nietos Juntos: Two Generations Together, will orgaize the trip, which will include visits to Antiguq, Lake Atitlan, and the region of San Marcos. Participants will meet some of the grandparents of Abuelos y Nietos Juntos, learn about Myan culture and the efforts of reverse immigration.
